July 5 - The Roberts Creek Community Hall

Discovered in 1927 at the legendary "Bristol Sessions" in Bristol TN, The Carter Family's music had a profound impact on bluegrass, country, Southern Gospel, pop and rock musicians as well as on the U.S. folk revival of the 1960s. Johnny Cash, who married into this "First Family of Country Music" in 1968 is widely considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century.

The Foggy Hogtown Boys have become a Canadian bluegrass and roots music institution. Their sound has influenced what's become a vibrant and youthful bluegrass scene in this country. From the band's legendary 17 year residency at Toronto's Silver Dollar Room; tours across Canada, the U.S., Europe and Israel; teaching instrumental workshops across the county; as well as individually recording as sidemen on hundreds of of albums, it is fair to say they have made their mark on the Canadian musical landscape.

In "Carters and Cash" the band pays tribute to the music of The Carter Family and Johnny Cash in their unique bluegrass and old-time music style.
